about
I wrote Plasterboard about the first relationship that truly inspired me. I met someone who’s combination of personality, outlook and drive I had never come across before, who made me feel calm and at ease with the unpredictability of life and fierce about achieving my dreams. Unfortunately we were one of those unpredictable things, and distance prevented us from reaching a place where we could feel strongly enough to commit, and one of us sacrifice our personal visions to be closer to the other. So, with all its shiny newness and promising horizons, we had to end it before it really had a chance to grow. It wasn’t until a while afterwards that I could really look back and reflect on the impact this crossing of paths had had on me, and so ’Plasterboard’ was born.

I have loved Kate for so long. Her words and her voice just make me feel all sorts of good things. I've loved everything she's put out from YouTube covers and Replaced back when I was in high school to Meadowlark and the occassional solo work now. She is a blessing on my life. hbruce134
