about
After feeling this unavoidable need to network and climb social ladders in the industry, but not being able to see where on earth the joy is in being someone you're not. I wanted to get to know the people that I could see would be a positive impact on my life, and not get to know those who I could see wouldn't, not putting up' with those people just to make connections.
lyrics
If we only live once then why are we killing time?
Breaking our backs to be part of the tracks they walk along.
When I speak my mind there's a pressure to watch my mouth.
I think it's the air of superiority you have
So take a step back
Cos you're poisoning my mind
It's a death trap
So take a step back
Take a step back
Why did this become a game
I wasn't ready to play.
When I speak to you Its like moving boulders,
Would ya look at me, am I strong enough for that?
You take the weight and put it all on my shoulders,
In a front row seat you laugh the night away.
So take a step back
Cos you're poisoning my mind
It's a death trap
So take a step back
Take a step back
Why did this become a game
I wasn't ready to play.
You throw me into the crowd
Knowing full well,
They’re gonna stand down
Tell me it’s a nightmare
tell me, tell me, tell me that you still care.
How is this meant to be if it calls for
Selfish behaviour, there must be a way
I don’t wanna go there,
I don’t don’t, wanna be the nightmare.

very musical and emotive 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 and appeals to the complicated lives we all live trying to be all that we can be. This is in my favourite songs list all month at home on constant replay 💖 neptuneninja

Four super songs from Sarah; all beautifully structured, sung and produced. There's a real brooding intensity to the messages built into these tracks – feelings that aren't quickly forgotten. Michael Reilly
